Overview

HireRight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Project Manager to join our team reporting into our Technology Program Management Organization (TPMO). This role will be responsible for serving as both the Project Manager and Scrum Master for multiple Agile Delivery Teams comprised of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Test Engineers, Product Owner and Product Manager. This role will lead all Scrum ceremonies and create all required artifacts to ensure that teams follow Agile practices and scrum framework values, work to increase team efficiency, and provide motivation and guidance for process improvement. This role will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring teams and individuals in adopting and implementing our Agile Model. As the Team’s Project Manager this role will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and execution of the initiatives running through the Team’s roadmap and help escalate impediments, manage risk, and help drive program-level continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with on-site and remote Agile Delivery Teams
  • Facilitate the delivery of products using Agile principles and methodologies
  • Work with Agile Delivery Teams to facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and focused on delivering value
  • Create all necessary Scrum artifacts
  • Helping track features and stories throughout development lifecycle
  • Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders located in the U.S. and Europe, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive improvement
  • Help keep the team on track and ensure that projects meet specific standards at each stage of the process
  • Scheduling and facilitating project discovery, requirements gathering, peer reviews, stakeholder reviews, legal and compliance sign-offs, project statuses and other meetings
  • Assist with the coordination of Quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning across their team
  • Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments, and progress of the Program Increment for teams
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum team to follow agile values, principles, and practices
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing
  • Work closely with the Product Managers to ensure that the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is clear and understood by the team
  • Work with Teams to identify and address impediments that hinder Agile adoption and help teams overcome challenges by implementing appropriate Agile practices and techniques.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encourage experimentation, and facilitate a learning environment within the organization
  • Work with Agile Delivery Teams on metrics creation and analysis to steer coaching needs based on how the team is performing

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience leading Agile teams as Scrum Master or Product Owner roles
  • Proven and successful experience in a project management role
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, values, and methodologies, with expertise in Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to influence and inspire others towards Agile practices and mindsets
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (CAC), or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications are highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of tools such as Jira, Version One, MS Project, Confluence, Rally or Grasshopper
  • Experience working in large-scale Agile environments or with distributed teams is a plus
  • Former work experience in Software Development or other technical area of expertise preferred
  • Must be able to work overlapping hours between local teams and with US-based teams and stakeholders
