Overview

The main responsibility of the GL – PTO & Benefits Accountant will be month end close processes, including analysis, reconciliation and internal audit type functions. The GL – PTO & Benefits Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare PTO accrual entries on a monthly basis based on the most recent payroll reports and timecards taken for PTO.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR to ensure timely and accurate reporting of benefits related transactions and ensure the accounting team has the proper reports for monthly accruals and quarterly reporting.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure forecast/plan accurately match latest information regarding benefits.
  • Prepare schedules and conduct analysis to support month over month fluctuations.
  • Assist with providing support to external auditors.

Qualifications

  • Has developed knowledge of a body of technical, support or administrative policies and procedures, specifically pertaining to benefits and PTO accounting.
  • Accomplished in implementing practical procedures or systems, which are moderately complex and require extended skill.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and Accounting Principles.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
