Overview

The main responsibility of the Senior Accountant will be GL, month end close processes, including analysis, reconciliation and internal audit type functions. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and post monthly and yearly financial statements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial reports.
  • Manage and oversee processes within the financial period-end close process (e.g., payroll and benefit accruals and misc. accrued expenses).
  • Conducts a monthly variance analysis and identifies variance causes and trends.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial data and account reconciliations.
  • Streamline accounting processes and support the integration of new financial systems, such as Blackline
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist with other ad-hoc reporting and projects as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting role, with at least 2 years focused on CPA/public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience with financial systems implementations, with a preference for candidates proficient in Dynamics 365 and Blackline.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departmental leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with PTO & Benefits a plus
