Overview

The VP of Financial Operations will lead the global Real Estate, Insurance Administration, Procurement/Vendor Management, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring best-in-class processes, controls, and systems across the organization. This individual will play a strategic and operational leadership role, with a focus on cash optimization, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and scalability in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.

Responsibilities

Real Estate:

  • Manage the company’s global real estate portfolio, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and facility operations.
  • Optimize real estate strategies to support business needs, cost efficiency and workplace flexibility across multiple regions.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with local regulations and market conditions.

Insurance Administration:

  • Oversee the company’s global insurance programs, including property, liability, and risk management policies.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks through strategic insurance planning and renewals.
  • Collaborate with brokers and insurers to secure competitive coverage while minimizing costs.

Procurement:

  • Lead global procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods, services and technology.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and implement best practices for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Drive procurement policies that align with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Oversee global AP operations including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing.
  • Drive automation and efficiency in AP workflows, including the implementation of shared services or outsourcing strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and PE reporting requirements related to disbursements and vendor activities.

 

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Manage global AR operations, including customer billing, cash application, collections, and credit risk assessment.
  • Implement processes to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improve cash flow.
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to resolve disputes and improve the customer payment experience.

 

Process Optimization and Systems

  • Identify and implement automation tools, ERP optimizations, and other technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of AP and AR operations.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting dashboards for both AP and AR to monitor performance and drive accountability.

 

Leadership and Strategy

  • Build and lead a global team of finance professionals across AP and AR functions.
  • Partner with the Finance Leadership Team to align working capital goals with broader financial strategy.
  • Support acquisition integration activities, ensuring harmonization of processes and controls post-close.

 

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure proper internal controls are maintained in accordance with SOX, audit requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Work with external auditors during audits, including timely and accurate data submission and remediation efforts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in financial operations with leadership experience in both AP and AR functions.
  • Experience working with private equity-backed companies.
  • Deep understanding of working capital management, internal controls, and financial systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder planning skills.
  • Process orientated mindset with a track record of driving efficiency and automation.
  • Proven experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
