Overview

The Client Services Specialist serves as the liaison between the department they represent and internal and external customers, and is responsible for resolving escalations from these groups. The CSM is an expert on operational best practices and provides customer facing support during the sales, implementation, and execution phases of the customer life cycle. The CSM is also responsible for tracking and reporting trends of escalated issues and makes recommendations on process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the department’s Subject Matter Expert
  • Triage, investigate, and resolve escalated internal and external customer issues in a timely manner
  • Analyze data to determine root cause analysis on key performance indicators
  • Escalate performance and process gaps when normal operational procedures prove ineffective
  • Provide education for department team members on customer guidelines and impact of errors on the customer relationship
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive necessary changes
  • Prepare departmental reports and metrics

Qualifications

Education:

 

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Some college preferred

Experience:

 

  • Ability to collaborate with internal cross functional teams, as well as with
    external sources, inorder to improve service
  • Business savvy to balance between needs of customer and operational limits
  • Strong department-specific process knowledge
  • Must be able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Sales Force and SharePoint preferred
  • Ability to work independently

Knowledge & Skill:

 

  • Entry level for more complex professional roles requiring a specific degree (i.e., computer science, accounting.etc)
  • Has general professional knowledge or possesses specialized vocational/technical skills for a variety of technical or administrative policies and procedures
  • Sound understanding of the skills and working knowledge required for a variety of practices and procedures
  • Assignments are specialized in nature and usually require originality where the individual relies on experience and judgment
  • Good understanding of the roles of the relevant functional groups within own area
