Overview

This role is to support the review of DOT and company policy for completeness and compliance to applicable DOT agency or company statement of work.  To determine an individual's ability to work based upon those regulations under the guidance of the Director of Medical Services, Chief Medical Office, or designated Medical review office.

Responsibilities

  • Review and report examinations
  • Obtain information from the employee or examiner if needed to make a medical qualification determination
  • Educate deficient examiners by sending memorandums of correction for flawed examinations
  • Act as an agent of the Director of Medical Services or Chief Medical Office, informing client representatives of their employees' qualification determinations

Qualifications

Education - LPN or RN 

 

Experience:

  • Nurse 4 years experience in functional area.  Proven track record of coaching and mentoring employees to success

Knowledge & Skill:

  • Has knowledge of technical discipline and work processes.
  • Provides investigative, analytic or diagnostic services that affect a wide range of the unit’s activities and suggests improvements.
  • Analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
  • Responds to non-standard requests from internal and/or external customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed.
  • Makes decisions within guidelines and policies that impact own priorities and allocation of time to meet deadlines
